About the practice
Botha & Co is a property, planning and development practice uniquely positioned through its integrated conveyancing capability and its ability to provide commercial and dispute resolution support that aligns seamlessly with these areas of practice.
The practice is designed for clients who value an ongoing legal relationship across their property and commercial matters. The aim is not only to give technically sound advice, but to understand clients' objectives, deal with legal issues in the context of their wider requirements and help move matters forward with clarity and sound judgment.
Clients work directly with the principal on every matter, with continuity, accountability and the benefit of ongoing familiarity with their matters. Where a matter requires broader input, the practice draws on a trusted network of specialist consultants and professionals, including town planners, engineers, counsel and consultant attorneys, while maintaining close involvement in the strategy, coordination and direction of the matter. Where a matter would be better served by a different specialist, that is said clearly and the appropriate referral is made.

Lexi Botha
Lexi Botha is an Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa and the founder of Botha & Co. Her practice is grounded in understanding how businesses, developments and projects operate beyond the legal issues alone. She combines careful legal analysis with practical judgement, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary professional teams to develop solutions that are legally robust, commercially sensible and workable in implementation.
Her approach is shaped by the broader context in which legal issues arise, including the commercial objectives of the parties, the practical realities of implementation and the need to coordinate effectively with other professional advisers. This informs her work across transactions, property and development matters, regulatory issues and strategic advisory mandates.
She is currently completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law through King’s College London, with a focus on corporate governance, international commercial transactions and cross-border legal frameworks.
She is passionate about building a practice where senior legal judgement is supported by efficient systems, knowledge management and technology, enabling greater focus on strategic advice, client relationships and meaningful outcomes.
Associate Designate
Natasha Sibuyi
Natasha is an Associate Designate at Botha & Co and is shortly to be admitted as an attorney.
She has a growing interest in property law and intends to qualify as a Conveyancer. She is particularly interested in matters where law, property, business and development overlap.
Natasha plays an integral role in moving matters forward, keeping track of the role players, where the pressure points sit, what still needs to happen and how the different pieces fit into the broader strategy.
She is excited to be growing with Botha & Co and to be part of a practice that is itself evolving, experimenting and challenging some of the traditional ways legal services are delivered. For Natasha, that means working in an environment that makes room for curiosity and different strengths, and for a way of practising law that feels both rigorous and human.
